According to Kat DeLuna's official web page, the dominican pop singer Kat de Luna is releasing "Am I Dreaming" as her second single, and you can actually see there some pics from Am I Dreaming Video Shoot. The song will also be released in Spanish as "Como un sueño" and appear on de Luna’s new CD, 9 Lives.

I feel like I just watched the entire movie. Kid gets killed. Dad kills the assassin. Gang kills the dad's family. Dad kills gang. The end.

I mean, Death Sentence's plot is very straightforward, and probably boring, so, the only reason to go see this movie would be if you love senseless violent movies. Lucky me, I just happen to like that type of movies, so I'm definitely going to check this one out.

The ghost in the shell and other things

creating life?

I discovered Ghost in the Shell (the first movie) about two years ago, even though the first movie was made in 1995 (and I guess the manga is even older, I don't know). It is a great piece of art. Great music, great animation, great story. It has everything. It wasn't until now that I decided to catch up with more of these wonderful sci-fi universe, so I've been watching the Ghost in the Shell Series (first gig), and after that I'll continue with Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, then the second series, then Solid State Society. There's so much material, I'm going crazy.

You may already know this, but I'll say it anyway: Ghost in the Shell is one of the main influences for The Matrix. The first and second movies were directed by Mamoru Oshii, also director of Open your Mind, which also looks very cool.

That said, I'll change the subject. I don't know why, but I think a girl and a guitar is very very cool. Specially if the girl knows how to sing. So, here's another video (old, old):

Ghosts videos are cool. The one above is not really scary, but it's cool. It seems to me that japanese ghosts are kinda shy, but sometimes creepier as well. No wonder J-horror movies are so awesome.

The only thing though, is that I don't understand any of what they say in the video. I'll need to learn japanese, but until then, I'll stick to these type of videos: they are easy to understand.

To keep the theme for a while, here's another old music again (it's old, right? it's from 1993). Mr. Jones, by Counting Crows, not to be confused with the movie (what's Richard Gere up to these days?)

Anyway, I love this song, it's catchy, it's cool. Actually, the whole album is great (August and Everything After). The newer albums by Counting Crows aren't really that good. But this one, this one was a great one.
